How InVentry Works for Primary Schools
The pupil module of InVentry will streamline the way you register pupils as it automatically synchronise with SIMs (or your current MIS) to register who is late and their reason for being late. In doing this, your fire and evacuation list it up-to-date instantly, and reception staff don’t have the lengthy task of importing this data. What’s more, when you’re taking your group out for swimming, or a school trip, you can have an accurate, electronic record of the students out of school.
For your staff and visitors the DBS Check Integration within the Reception Console will automatically send a notification to a member of staff should your visitor require an escort around school, this also allows you to check your visitors DBS status by simply checking their badge. Your visitors are stored for a period of 3 months (the requirement for keeping records up-to-date) for quick sign-in. Records, however, can be kept for longer for Ofsted requirements.
The touchscreen is easy to use, and has a variety of different language packs, and allows you to print a visitor badge instantly. Within the console, a webcam will take a photo of your visitor so you identify exactly who has been in your school. An additional benefit of this system is that the badge printer is thermal, there is no cost associated with new ink.
“InVentry has revolutionized our safeguarding in school. The system is easy to use and staff, children and visitors can sign in at the touch of a button. Many visitors comment on how easy it is to use. We don’t know how we managed before!”
